Amazing Interface

Some of you may have seen this already – in fact a few of us had a viewing in the design studio the other day – it’s worth a look. I saw this first on one of those TV shows “beyond the future” (”back to the future”? “back of beyond”?, “future gazing”?, “naval gazing”?) and was impressed – and there was much less cheering on TV. But I think the possibilities of this interface technology for virtual experiements and simulations is worth thinking about.

    Interesting that only a few months later, Apple has introduced their iPhone (trademark under contention with Cisco) which uses this multi-touch interface!

    Yes, very interesting that the iPhone has potentially broad market appeal — depending on cost. It raises questions for me about what expectations university students might bring in the near future about the standard of interface for learning materials. It also raises questions for me about the implications for accessibility.
